Our spiritual care services care for the human spirit and soul through fostering hope. These services will assist you to identity resources you already have within you or connect you with other services that can assist you.
Spiritual Care also known as pastoral care or chaplaincy, is about creating a scared space in which the pastoral / spiritual carer aids the person receiving care to listen to the stirrings within. These stirrings need attention and expression. Being able to sit and listen to the stirrings from within, aids us in moving forward to fulfil our hopes, desires, passions and purposes.
Often the care of the human spirit is overlooked, yet this is where hope resides and dreams are fullfilled. We see the heart as the intension centre where identity is formed and hope resides . Through playing close attention to the spirit and soul we can bring the unconscious into consciousness. The condition of the human spirit and soul is closely linked to the state of our emotional, mental, social and physical health.
The primary role of the professional pastoral / spiritual carer is to provide an environment of stillness and calm, aiding the process of attentive listening, rather than problem solving. It is now understood that what the spirit knows, what the soul senses and this is then expressed through the body through our behaviour.
Referrals are not required for any of our services.
