Counselling is often viewed as a reactive action to challenges in life. However, counselling is beneficial for prevention, discovery, recovery, healing and restoration. LIFE counselling services provide professional assistance, guidance and encouragement in resolving challenges, exploring relationships while identifying and developing self.
Counsellors affiliated with LIFE work collaboratively and are professionally trained, qualified and registered, bringing with them a range of expertise and experience that can assist you on your journey. Referrals are not required. We provide individual, couple, family, workplace ( employee assistance programs - EAP) and in-school counselling.

Fees Counsellors may charge based on expertise and experience, feel free to discuss the fee with your counsellor. Our fees are based on the gap you would usually expect to pay seeing a psychologist. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes and referrals are not required for any of our services.

Jodie Chamber - 0408 108 606 BA (Counselling), Cert Training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. CCAA & PACFA (Clinical Counsellor), CCAA (supervisor) registered, VANISH registered counsellor. Jodie has a keen interest in encouraging people to reach their full potential through self-acceptance and self-awareness. Her many years as a counsellor includes working with women, children and adolescents who face challenges due to a lack of identity and family breakdown. Jodie is passionate about assisting individuals to embrace their story. She is a registered counsellor with VANISH and has vast experience working with those who have been through the adoption process (Victorian Adoption Network for Information and Self Help).

Children’s Services. “Supporting you on your journey to discover, heal & grow!” This is the commitment Amorelle offers in her role as a Counsellor. She is passionate about strengthening the family unit, through individual, couples & family therapy. She also brings her many years of experience as a child care educator, into offering therapy for children & young people, through child centred approaches & interventions.
Amorelle has also a strong focus on community and is a firm believer in the benefits of involvement through inclusive practices and programs. She believes that people flourish through strong and healthy relationships, which results in the building of strong and integrated communities. Life coaching for personal growth and development is also a service she offers. Amorelle practices from Hampton Park and offers services online.
Kim Johnstone - 0458 653 302 BA (Counselling), MACA (Level 3) & CCAA (Clinical) Kim works with individuals and couples who experience a range of issues, including trauma, loss and grief, gender identity and sexuality, life transitions (school, work, cross-cultural), and mental health challenges. Kim has been helping people from different backgrounds and circumstances for over 30 years. Living and working in Africa with her young family for over ten of these has meant she is adept at creating a safe space and comfortable connecting with people of varying ages and experiences.
Kim’s approach to counselling is to create a safe and trusting space to enable recovery and healing. She does not focus on any one particular mode of counselling but draws on a variety of approaches and resources: it is a wholistic approach that respects the impact of life circumstances on mind, body and spirit. She believes that each individual is unique, and that life’s challenges are opportunities to learn and grow. Janet provides supervision to Chaplains and those in various areas of Pastoral Ministry, Counselling, Pastoral Care Workers, Ministry Students, and those in the Healthcare sector. Janet is an experienced Counsellor, Chaplain and Pastor with extensive experience in Nursing and Clinical Education; Post Graduate Tutor with AIFC. I have broad experience in School Chaplaincy; a Chaplain and Trainer with VCC Emergency Ministries, Police Chaplain and Pastoring.
Janet is passionate about providing a safe, non- judgemental, confidential space to journey alongside clinical and pastoral supervisees thus encouraging them to take time to reflect, explore, care for self and grapple with tensions within, thus equipping and enabling them to grow and mature professionally, personally, and Spiritually. Tanya Weinber - 0473 154 799 B App Social Science. (ACA registered) Tanya Weinber is a counsellor who enjoys seeing lives changed. Having worked in admin for over 10 years within the mental health sector, Tanya witnessed the many struggles people face and the joy of seeing lives changed. She has a deep passion for assisting people in flourishing and becoming the best they can be. Tanya enjoys open conversations and works well with adolescents and adults alike. She maintains a little sense of humour and values working collaboratively to achieve goals.
Tanya offers a warm and safe space with a supportive, empathic and direct approach to encourage clients to reach their full potential. Tanya is available for online telehealth consultations and at our Pakenham office.
Hayley Cameron Bachelor (Nursing) APHRA registered, Adv Dip (Counselling) ACA registered Hayley has a wealth of experience in the health industry working as a Registered Nurse over the last 10 years and currently completing her Bachelors in counselling. Hayley is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals (children, adolescents, couples and families) to live an abundant and fulfilling life.
Hayley works from an integrative approach that combines the Christian worldview with recent psychological evidence-based research. Focusing on the modalities/therapies of solutions focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT). To offer clients self-awareness and core life skills education, supporting them to overcome challenges and build resilience on their journey.
Amber Ferrier - 0404776667 Bachelor in Physics, Grad Dip. Family therapy, ACA registered Amber has been working as a Family Therapist in private practice since 2012 and enjoys working across a wide cohort of individuals, couples and families. She has a passion for helping people overcome problems and issues and I work with them to find solutions in a holistic manner. She undertakes the necessary assessments required to better understand their situation, emotional needs and goals, while also taking into consideration their family backgrounds, age, gender, ethnicity and culture and use various resources and appropriate interventions to help them cope with their emotional needs and meet their goals. Amber enjoys counselling as it gives her the opportunity to help people pursue a purpose filled life through the use various modalities of therapy and look for tailored solutions suitable for the clients. I have also worked for the Australian Institute of Family counselling where I received various opportunities to teach and run tutorials and this enabled and enhanced my various skills in counselling and facilitating group work. I maintain my professional supervision in keeping with peek bodies and make sure that I counsel keeping ethical and legal standards in mind at all times.
Jen Riley – 0421 315 935 BSc (Computer Science), Cert IV Christian Ministry & Theology. ACA registered, VCC EM Chaplain Currently completing Masters in Counselling, Graduate Diploma of Pastoral and Spiritual Care, and Clinical Pastoral Education. Jen has over 30 years of experience in people-oriented roles: from customer relationship-building and troubleshooting in the computer industry to literacy and wellbeing training for secondary students, worship ministry leadership and performance, and support of family and friends in sickness and age-related issues. Jen’s delight is to help people find freedom from things hindering them while connecting with their values. Jen values the stories people entrust to her. She is available for counselling and/or pastoral and spiritual care through in-person or online sessions.
