Living with and Supporting those with a diagnosis of dementia.This workshop is primarily for therapists and is presented from a counsellor's viewpoint. Bernadette, who has many years of experience personally (with a mother who lived and has since died with dementia) and professionally (nearly 10 years experience with Dementia Australia), will highlight the many opportunities therapists and carers have to engage with people living with a diagnosis of dementia and their support networks.
As our therapeutic profession is deeply intertwined with carers and the Aged Care space, understanding the serious and prevalent condition of dementia is crucial. This workshop will equip us to work more effectively with our clients and their families, addressing a pressing need in our field. This workshop will provide you with 2 hours of Professional Development & certificates will be provided. |
