Do you believe in facts or truth

Have you ever wondered why or who you believe? I have heard people say 'the fact of the matter is - I am a failure, I am looser, there is no point trying any more, no one loves me, I am a idiot, I know nothing.....' the point is the facts that we often come up with is not the truth. We are not always what we live.  We portray what we believe about our selves.   With the statements we make about our selves who or what do we base these 'facts' or 'truth' on? Lets look at one of these common statements

• "I am a failure" - The fact might be that you tried something and it just didn't work out.  The truth is you are not a failure, the things you have tried to accomplish have not worked out.  They have been challengers that perhaps you have not been equipped or skilled to do.  Learn the necessary skills to accomplish the things you want to succeed at.  Thomas Edison said - "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Once he learned how to do what he wanted to achieve, he got it.  Perhaps, you are not meant to be part of whatever it is you are trying to achieve in the first place
  

We live life most often focusing on the things that don't work rather than what works.  We compare ourselves to others, we fail to see what we do have and shift all focus to what we don't have right now.  We dream and have desires but may not consider that we have to then pursue those with more skill development, training etc

Here are a couple of facts that are also truths

• You have a amazing gift within you - you have either not discovered it or your running from it or you have given up on it.
• You have a purpose - you either don't know what it is or you have a poor self image (self-worth/self-esteem) or you are trying to live someone else's life.
• It is impossible for you to live a life of purpose if you don't believe you have a purpose.
• It is impossible for you to be the best you can be trying to live or be like someone else
• What is impossible for men/women is possible for God
• You are loved by God, not because of what you do but because of who you are - YOU.
  

We are limited by circumstances and what we believe and or who we believe.  There are many facts and truths in the world that do not line up to the truth in the Bible.  If or when you get stuck on something, consider what are you choosing to believe?  Who are you choosing to believe?  Why are you choosing to believe?
